Structural and magnetic properties of [Gd.sub.3]N@[C.sub.80]
Article Abstract:
Relativistic and on-site correlation-corrected density functional theory (DFT) is used to investigate the structural and magnetic properties of [Gd.sub.3]N@[C.sub.80]. The results have shown that [Gd.sub.3]N@[C.sub.80] displays greater proton relaxivity than ] and ] and serves as a possible candidate for the commercially available magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents.
